Nyctophobia: Fear the Dark
One could say I wore many dev hats as one of the UI Designers and as Lead Graphic Designer for Nyctophobia: Fear the Dark. I was responsible for creating all UI icons and programming the control screens and assisted in the programming of audio and visual settings. I constructed the in-game warning screen and EULA and Privacy Policy legal screens, and I designed all Steam Achievement Trophy art by staging and capturing footage in the Unreal Engine game build. I assisted with level design by adding prop assets to various rooms within the Mansion level and assisted with in-game lighting work by assisting with nanite levels within the UE settings. My work also consisted of creating 2D prop art assets such as the design for the for-sale sign on a house in the Cul-de-sac level, as well as creating the narrative and design for multiple in-game letter clues players find and pick up within the same level. I also created the 3D asset of the Good A’Nuff Studios logo that players can find and pick up for a hidden Steam Achievement trophy at the Mansion level.

The Concept
The producer of the game wanted to pay homage to his mentor who has a reality company. A "For Sale" sign similar to the sign Micah Lee uses was added to the Cul-de-Sac level in front of a house that the player can enter but is empty.

In-Game Note Assets
Each victim of the SCP left behind journal notes telling of the horror they were experiencing before they died. The player finds these notes as the Foundation's investigator to piece together what happened to all the residents of the neighborhood.
